Introducing the "Jon Feldman Electric Band"

Setting Zebrina aside for the moment, I have embarked on writing a new book of tunes that have deep grooves and draw on the language of jazz and blues. Featuring Kevin Turcotte on trumpet, Eric St. Laurent on electric guitar, Bret Higgins on electric bass, Andrew Austin on drums, and myself on Fender Rhodes, the band sets out to conjure up memories of a simpler, groovier jazz inspired by songs like Watermelon Man and Cantaloupe Island by Herbie Hancock, and The Sidewinder by Lee Morgan.

The band is currently rehearsing for a spring studio date, tba. The band's name is The Jon Feldman Electric Band and the project's working title is "Northern Grooves".
